Sunday, July 15th at Cuyahoga Valley Towpath Trail
Sonny Keim, Golden Treasures volunteer (foster dad, transporter and fundraiser), is taking a hiatus from Pars for Paws (his annual speed golfing event for the last 7 years) this year and he is doing a BRAND NEW fundraising event that incorporates his love for cycling with his love and support of Golden Treasures.
Sonny plans to push his limits and ride a minimum of 100 miles along the beautiful Cuyahoga Valley Towpath Trail (starting in Peninsula OH) – he’s never ridden this many miles before at one time!!
Thank you so much if you are a past supporter of Sonny! So many of you have made pledges to him over the past 7 years and it meant so much to Sonny and to Golden Treasures. Each year due to your generosity we are able to help Golden Treasures save even more lives and help even more dogs find “fur”ever homes. You can support Sonny in one of two ways this year:
Make a Flat Donation or Pledge per Mile
- Flat Donation: A flat donation can be made through PayPal or by mailing in your donation, see left
- Pledge Per Mile: Fill out the form to thelower left to make a donation pledge per mile. After the event, you will receive an email indicating how many miles Sonny rode and your final donation amount.
If you enjoy cycling and you have an interest in participating in this event by riding your bike with Sonny or on your own, you too can get sponsors and help our event be even more successful by collecting pledges for your ride (you set your own goal of number of miles). Contact Sonny Keim at 330-350-2774 for more info and to make a plan. He can provide you with a pledge sheet so that you can track your sponsors.
Golden Treasures Golden Retriever Rescue is an all-volunteer rescue, providing veterinary care, foster homes and permanent new homes for golden retrievers in the Ohio area. We rescue Golden Retrievers wherever we find them
- Owners of Golden Retrievers sometimes have to surrender their dogs because of health, moving, or work schedule. We help find them a new home where they will be loved and nurtured.
- Golden Retrievers that are abandoned or taken to shelters need special attention, and Golden Treasures Rescue will help with medical treatment and re-socialization of each dog into a new home.
Our adoption fee rarely covers the cost of rescuing these wonderful dogs. We may take in a dog that is already spayed/neutered, but the next one that comes in may be heartworm positive. Golden Treasures relies on donations, fundraising activities and grants for its income. We do not receive any state or federal funds. And, because Golden Treasures is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, all donations are tax deductible.
